I was looking for used car values on our minivan, but there was aleast a $3k difference in the price values listed between the two sites.|||Were you trying to price it to sell it yourself or price it to trade-in? Those guides are all over the place with that kind of info.
If it was to trade-in your mini-van, remember that dealers don't even look at those guides. They look at Manheim Auction results which is the industry wholesale auction records and figure from there what they can make on re-selling a vehicle. The prices they will offer on trade-in will be at or below wholesale typically because they need to make money.
If you were looking to sell it yourself, looking at any of those guides is also a little bit false because those are used by lenders and dealers with setting the retail and financing price and unlike Manheim, is not based on actual sales results. The closest you can get to actual, real sales data of models with your trim package is to use the Price My Car link below. It is actual real sales results and because it can go by VIN, will find vehicles just like yours and give you sales results within a few percent of what you can expect.
In the long run you will be better off selling it yourself to get the maximum return on your investment.|||most dealers and banks use either Kelly Blue Book or NADA guide.|||COMPARE THE TWO AND SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE.
