How much does a car depreciate from an engine change?

I had just bought a 2001 Saab 95-SE with 77,000 miles on it. The motor blew 3 days later, and the dealership has replaced it with a used engine with similar mileage. How much is the value of the car depreciated? The kbb value is $8000 retail.|||None. The condition of the engine that is in the car is what matters. Drivetrain parts are fully replaceable.

On the other hand, the frame is not replaceable. It can be "fixed" but once damage is done, it will not be in it's original condition.|||still worth the same worth is not based on the engine change. its based on miles and condition. if you were to sell it to someone not a dealer or shop you could even look at the engine as a upgrade stating that its a newer engine in there to sell it faster
