If a car is priced around kbb private party value- how long does it typically take to sell? Im placing an ad in the paper, oncraigslist and cars.com.|||That's hard to predict, there are so many variables - is it a popular car; how many other cars like it are for sale; how many folks are buying (December/January is the low point in car sales - the months with the fewest sales).
For dealers, the average sale time on used cars is 45 days. That takes into accounts the late model cars that sell faster and the clunkers that move slower.|||it all depends on the type of car. if its a very common car like a civic, it could take a while to sell, unless it is really something to look at, but if it is a car that is a little more rare, like a 300zx, or something it could sell pretty quickly, if not priced too high|||it depend on the make model miles and your location, and it depends on the time of year most people looking for a used car probably wont have money until tax refund time also something that might help out is list it for about $500 more than kbb so when people stop and look you have room to negotiate and not lose a lot|||ummmm dont know !!|||It depends it could sell in one day or 6 months but if after 30 you don't get any bites then you need to lower your asking price.
